Hooray for warmer weather! I had the week off of school last week and loved having some extra time to prep our garden bed and plant some peas. I’m already in love with this Spring.
Unfortunately, for most of my week off I was feeling pretty sick from my last big POTS flair, which means lots of laying down projects. (I miss my sewing machine!) I was really excited to find another fun, free pattern for spring! These little guys knit up so fast (less than an hour each, which is super fast for knitting) and were the perfect way to use up yarn left over from old projects. They knit up to about 4-8 inches (just depending on the size of yarn I used) and are the perfect filler for the bird’s nest center piece I made last year. They are seriously tricking me into wanting to get our own baby chickens this year… but I’m quite certain I won’t give in. We’ve had several neighbors with chickens and frankly, a couple houses down the road is close enough for me when it comes to adult chickens! At least while our yard is small enough that we’d hear every little peep from their mouths 🙂

Those chicks are so cute. When I first saw the picture, I thought you had broken down and gotten yourself some real baby chicks!
