I am having so much fun dressing this kid of mine. I swear, I put so much more time and effort into his wardrobe than I do my own! But they are only little once, right? So I’m living it up while I can. (It will be a very sad day for me when he insists on picking out his own outfits.)
I just made him this super quick, no sew Halloween shirt (because I can’t stand the cuteness of seasonal clothing!) and thought I’d share the process. It is so fast, and easy- which is why I actually got it done. (I have a whole pile of fabric and patterns just waiting around for me to sew for him, but it just seems to grow… I hardly find time to sit down and sew a recreational project anymore. Hooray for a 10 minute project!)
My very favorite fusible web to use for something that will be washed over and over is Heat n Bond Ultra. And no, they did NOT pay my to say that. I acutally went and did a test of every kind I could get my hands on and Heat N Bond Ultra had the least amount of fraying, hands down. I’ve tried more since, but none have helped with fraying as much as this stuff. It’s a little heavier than other fusible webs, but in this scenerio I will take heavy duty if it means it will hold up to a toddler’s wear and tear.
Enough back story, let’s get sewing making! (I do so many sewing tutorials on here, it’s hard to remember the verbiage to use for anything else…)
