As with any creative venture, the better quality materials you start with, the better quality the end result. I knew we needed high quality paints and brushes, but without any watercolor experience I was lost! Here is what my teacher recommended for a beginner. Keep in mind that this class will focus on painting on location so all of our materials are ‘travel sized’ so they can fit in our bags and venture off to paint. If you plan on painting in the same location, feel free to get a larger size of paper and the non-collapsible versions of the brush and washer.
