I completely forgot to take step by step pictures of these guys and it makes me so sad- I think they are my favorite ones!
I think my favorite part of these is something that doesn’t show up in the picture. After I painted the orange to the tone I wanted, I did a glaze of dark orange over all the parts with outside peel showing. I let it dry for a bit and when it was still wet, but not dripping I laid a paper towel over it. The bumpy texture from the towel transferred the perfect orange peel texture! It’s been one of my favorite watercolor gimmicks I’ve used.
