This miniature felt succulent tutorial is the perfect starter project if you want to make something quick and easy out of felt. I made this to put into my Peter Rabbit playset (I feel like it kinda looks like a hosta, right?) but it could easily be sured in a mini pot for decor.
To begin your miniature felt succulent tutorial, you’ll need to gather the correct materials.
Materials
- wool felt- I used green
- free pattern (click here to download)
- scissors
- hot glue gun
Cut out your Miniature Felt Succulent
First you’ll print out the free pattern and then place it on top of your felt to cut it out.
Gluing your Miniature Felt Succulent
Once your succulent is all cut out, you’ll start gluing. First put just a dot of glue on the bottom of the outside ‘leaf’. (They probably aren’t called leaves on succulents, but let’s just pretend, for simplicity, shall we?)
Fold the leaf in half and hold until the glue has cooled.
No add a little more glue to the second leaf. Pinch it in half, this time making sure it’s fitting around the first leaf a bit. Continue in this manner, working around the felt spiral to create your succulent.
Once you’ve worked through each life, your miniature felt succulent is ready to use! Perfect for a mini pot or planter, or to stick into a miniature project.
