Our next free ME/CFS awareness download is a cupcake pick. Well, actually we have small ones (for cupcakes) and large ones (you can stick a large one on a cake or in a vase of flowers).
As a quick recap, I’ve been posting free downloads that can be used for ME/CFS awareness events. This year I am specifically thinking about Blue Sunday, which is an tradition held in the ME/CFS community. Basically, you invite your friends over for lunch/tea in the month of May (ME/CFS awareness month) and then request they donate the price they would have paid in a cafe. It’s a fun way to raise money- who doesn’t love a tea party after all- and has been doing a lot of good the past few years.
You can easily make these Cupcake Picks, and they can be done well in advance if you need to be careful with your spoons (aka energy).

Once you have your files downloaded, print onto white cardstock and cut out each circle with a pair of scissors. Take 1 bamboo skewer and cut it to the length you’d like. I keep them long for the large cake picks, but cut them to about 4 inches for the smaller picks. Tape it to the back of a circle. If you’d like your picks to look nice from both sides, tape another circle onto the back to cover the tape. And that’s it! Easy as pie.
How to use Your Picks
You can stick your picks into cupcakes or a cake. I also liked using mine as a plant pick, adding it to a balloon bouquet and just using the plain circles (no skewers) as table confetti on the big day.
