May is getting closer, and I wanted to get these Free Blue printable decorations out there for anyone who wants to plan a Blue Sunday event.
When I first heard about Blue Sunday, I was an instant fan. I’ve been sick with ME/CFS since 2005 and it is something that has drastically changed my life. ME drastically affects millions of people worldwide and most people don’t even know it exsists. Blue Sunday is a great way to organize a fun event and still get the word out. Win, win in my opinion.
WHY HOST A BLUE SUNDAY TEA PARTY?
Hosting a Blue Sunday tea party is more than just a fun get-together. It’s an opportunity to raise awareness and funds for Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME) research. The idea is to invite your friends for tea and then ask them to donate what they would have paid at a cafe towards ME research.
I love that it’s not an overwhelming ask, and that I can offer something of value that my friends would likely go out and spend a few dollars on anyway.
HOW TO DOWNLOAD YOUR FREE BLUE SUNDAY BUNTING
I designed two different styles of banners that you can print from home and use for your Blue Sunday decorations. The process is the same for each design, download the file, print, cut out the shapes, punch holes and string on yarn or ribbon.
The first step is downloading. Click on the buttons below to download the free files.
MAKE YOUR BUNTING
Once you’ve downloaded your file, making your bunting (or garland, whatever you want to call it) is simple. Just print out your bunting on any printer, I find that printing on white card stock works best. I also really like the quality of printing at a print shop for something like this. Since I plan to keep and reuse my decorationgs year after year, it was worth the splurge to get them printed at Staples.
Once everything is printed, cut out the shapes, punch holes in the corners and string through string. You can print as many as you like to make your decor as long as you need. Here are some photos to give you a visual of the process.
And that’s it! I hope this gives you some fun inspiration as you plan your Blue Sunday event. Feel free to check out all of our Blue Sunday Printables by clicking here.
