I have some nieces who have been into fairies for a few years now. I love it! I’ve helped them plan fairy birthday parties, build fairy gardens and simply get excited by the magic of it all. To me, there is nothing more endearing than to see a child get all wrapped up in the magic of an imaginary world.
When I designed Fiona, I wanted to create a fairy appropriate for a preschool/kindergarten aged child (so much of the fairy stuff now is so small and fragile that I feel like the 3-5 year olds get left out!). She stands about 11″ tall and is complete with a crown and wand (because the only thing more fun than a fairy is a fairy princess!). Her arms move for more interactive play (she has to be able to put her arms up to fly, right!?). And of course all of her accessories are sewn on so they won’t get lost. She’s sure to bring hours of imaginary fun into the life of any fairy lover 🙂

Special thanks to all my pattern testers! They did an awesome job. I love it when they share photos of what they made- check these adorable fairies out!
