I’ve been working to craft this miniature felt flowering bush for my Peter Rabbit suitcase dollhouse. I love how easy it is to make, and how well it would fit in with other play sets. This post will guide you through the process of creating a stunning miniature felt flowering bush just in case you’d like your own.
Miniature Bush Supplies
To begin to craft your miniature felt flowering bush project, you’ll need to gather your supplies. There are only a few materials required to get started, which makes this project both simple and budget-friendly. Here’s what to get:
Mini Bush Supplies
- Two colors of wool felt (one for flowers, one for leaves)
- 1″ Wool Felt Ball or Styrofoam ball
- Glue gun
- Scissors
- Free Mini Bush Template
Creating the Flowers for Your Mini Felt Bush
Now that you have your supplies gathered, it’s time to start creating your felt flowers.
Using the Free template as a guide, cut out 12 pieces from each color of felt.
Place a dot of glue in the center of a Flower colored piece and scrunch.
Place a dot of glue in the center of a Leaf colored piece and scrunch around the flower piece.
Repeat this process to create 12 flowers with leaves.
Assemble the Miniature Flowering Bush
Using sharp scissors, cut your felt ball in half.
Glue the flowers all around the curved part of the ball. (The flat edge will sit on the ground.)
Once all your flowers are glued in place, you’re done! You can use your bush in a dollhouse or mini flower arrangement. I can’t wait to glue mine into Mr. McGreggor’s Mini Garden!
