I know what you’re thinking. And you’re right. I am crazy! I already have a degree, why am I going back for another? At least work on a Master’s or something, right? Sigh. I know, I know. I keep thinking the same things myself. But oh well. The fact is that you just can’t get a good art education outside of a university. At least no where that I’ve seen! And trust me, I’ve tried to get around the whole back to school thing! But I finally gave in. On Monday I started my very first painting class on my way to a degree in drawing/painting. I’m still not sure what I’ll do as my emphasis. I’m kind of hoping that will just figure itself out as I take the lower level classes.
I know this has nothing to do with patterns, but I wanted to use this blog as a bit of an art journal so I can remember all the things I’ve paid good money to learn and so those of you who want a little more technique can get it without being crazy and signing up to do college all over again! Like me…. 🙂
So, this summer term the class is Watermedia I. It’s a watercolor class. Hope you have fun following along!
