Free Customizable Baptism Printables

November 1, 2012

I’m always trying to think of something special to give to nieces and nephews for baptism gifts.  It’s hard to think of something that’s fun and still meaningful!  I’ve been so excited to see the fun LDS baptism printables popping up lately on Pinterest and was inspired by my niece’s upcoming baptism to make a version of my own.  And, lucky you, I made them up in Word so they can be downloaded,  customized with a name and date and printed from home!  They print on an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper but are then cut to fit into a 4×6 frame.

To download the Blue and Green version click here

For the Pink and Green version click here

To customize, just open in word and click on the name and date to delete current info and add your own info.  Be sure to adjust the font size so that your information is the same width as the rest of the wording- that’s what will make it look the best!

Stick this print in a fun frame for a great, affordable baptism gift!  I’ve included a few suggestions above- a double frame works perfectly to pair the print with a photo of the baptism girl or boy.  Having each guest sign the mat would make it an extra special memory of the day.

I’m pairing my niece’s print with a white and silver baptism bracelet.  I’m still deciding what to pair the print with for boys.  There’s always a tie tack, but I feel like those are less exciting to boys than a bracelet is to a girl… Any ideas?

Computers are all a little different and I’m certainly no computer genius!  I try to make these files work on everyone’s computer, but if it doesn’t seem to be working on yours, you can create your own Baptism Printable in just a few minutes.  Just download the images below and visit our Designing in Microsoft Word tutorial to learn how to upload the image into Word and add custom text.

To download these images, click on the color you’d like.  That will bring you to a page with the full sized image.  Right click on the image and pick ‘Save Image As…”

Thanks so much for this. We have a YW that is being baptized and I was trying to think of a nice gift from the girls. I printed this and I’m going to have all the YW sign a matte and then we’ll frame it and give it to her on her special day. Thanks again 🙂

So cute! I want to give it to our Primary kids the Sunday after they are baptized! We had a baptism today, so I’d like one for tomorrow. But I’m having an issue…What program are you using to open it? I can’t get it to open on my end. I tried microsoft word, but it only shows the customizable part, and nothing else. I tried to open in wordpad, but then the customizable part is missing, and the rest is fuzzy. Help please!

I also have word 2010. It says there is corrupted content in the document. The only thing that shows is the editable content (name and date) with a picture box for the rest that says picture cannot be displayed.

I’m sorry! I just checked it on a few different computers and there seems to be no problem. I officially have no idea what’s going wrong! If only I knew more about computers… 🙂

Here’s what I did instead- at the end of this post there’s now the ability to save the middle part of the printable as a jpeg (it has everything on it but the name and date). I also wrote up a tutorial on how to put that jpeg into a Word file and add your own Name/Date text boxes. (I added a link to it in the post as well)

The process only takes a few minutes, and then you should have a version that works on your computer.

          Sorry for the trouble!

I’ve tried both and it still won’t work for me. My WORD converts it from .docx and doesn’t show the picture part…just a black box. Maybe I’ll try making this on my own in CS5 like I did a custom Baptism announcement as well. 🙁

Lissa- there is no quick way to change colors or the temple. You are welcome to bring load the image into image editing program (like Photoshop) and change it if you like. (I am not worried about copyright on this guy, so feel free to do whatever you want with the image) I wish I had all the time in the world to make the changes people request, but I just don’t have time to do it for my free items. I haven’t yet opened my etsy shop, but I wanted to contact you and ask if that was okay to use them and make an attempt at selling them? I would private message you, but wasn’t sure how. Thank you so much for sharing your talents with us!! This truly is my favorite layout!! I am hoping I can get it to an 8×10 size. If not, I think I will print it and have her family and friends write notes to her around it so she can have a great keepsake. Wish you the very best!!

Thank you so very much for sharing your special talent with those of us that are less fortunate. I have 9 of my primary children being baptized this year and was stressing on what to give them that would be fair and equal. These were perfect!!!! The ones that have been baptized (I have 2 left) were sooo excited (but I honestly think their moms were more than them) lol
Again THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. (June 25, 2017)

I have loved this printable and have been using it for a few years. However, recently it will not print. I’m wondering if the document has somehow expired or something. My printer works fine on anything but this. Weird.

I’m so sorry, I have no idea why it wouldn’t work. It’s getting to be an old file… I wonder if it doesn’t work with newer versions of Word? I’ll have to look into it.

Thank you for sharing this file. I had no problem changing the details & printing it for a baptism this afternoon. I’m sure the young lady receiving it will love it.

Instagram post 2327252897543629252_417393240 It is finally getting warm here and I'm so excited for long days in sunny fields.
Instagram post 2321314328934193695_417393240 Did you know that ladies during the Regency Era often wore a shawl because the breezy empire waist gowns they wore were a little chilly? ⁣
⁣
I've been having so much fun adding historical details to this project. I love the idea of history seeping into a child's mind through play.⁣
⁣
I know it's just a tiny detail, but I wanted our dolls to have shawls because I keep reading about the huge cultural shift that came with the style we see in Jane Austen's time period.⁣
⁣
In a period of about 15 years we went from Marie Antoinette style gowns with huge, structured skirts, to these breezy gowns that might (gasp!) show your silhouette if a breeze came in.⁣
⁣
To the younger generation they were progressive. Napoleon's wife was the one who made the style popular and because of her influence it symbolized a new way of thinking. (Marie Antoinette's way of thinking was, after all, proven slightly ineffective.) ⁣
⁣
Sure, the dress was a little chilly. But it was a way to leave dated ideas in the past. So they grabbed a shawl and moved forward!⁣
⁣
I know that a shawl on a doll won't automatically teach a kid all that history. But it might give us the opportunity to tell the story as we play, and I want to add as many of those opportunities as I can.
Instagram post 2320150626645961038_417393240 What's the best glue gun out there?⁣
⁣
I love the ease of hot glue, but have always found my glue gun work rather sloppy.⁣
⁣
A while back I talked to my good friend Erin from @thegreyrose about this. She is the closest thing to a Glue Gun Expert there is: She uses a glue gun full time to create her amazing felt floral arrangements. Her work is delicate and skillful, which are words I'd never use to describe my own glue gun efforts.⁣
⁣
Her secret is this amazing detail tipped glue gun. (The Surebonder Detail Tip Glue Gun...Please note, this is NOT an ad. No one is paying me to review this thing. I just genuinely like it and thought I'd share.)⁣
⁣
I bought the exact model she uses for her work and I will never go back! For the first time I feel like my hot gluing can be clean and precise. It's amazing what a difference having the right tool can make.
Instagram post 2318523881759128711_417393240 amen.
Instagram post 2316180582466133425_417393240 The bonnets are finished and I'm off to work on top hats and cravats. Because we definitely need a Mr. Darcy Rabbit.
Instagram post 2315017019194132946_417393240 The next Jane Austen play set tutorial is up and running on our blog!⁣
⁣
This week we make bonnets and shawls to complete for our Regency bunnies and I can hardly contain my excitement.⁣
